Addicted to Sex and the City

ADDICTIVE. EXCITING. FUN. ENTERTAINING. INFORMATIVE. HILARIOUS.

Just a few words to describe this remarkable and sensational series about the explorations, love and sex life of this group of four New Yorkers, Carrie, Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte. The show is not entirely about sex and their relationships with men, you know (though most of the time, it is!). It also features the friendship of the ladies and tackled modern social issues that are quite unconventional and liberating for the innocent and conservative audiences.

I was too young to appreciate it then. I have to turn 20 to finally be guilt free to have the interest to watch the series. And thank god I decided to switch my tv channel to HBO when Sex and the city movie 2 was on that night. I loved both movie 1 & 2. So, that night, out of nowhere, I suddenly got curious about how it all started. Thanks to internet downloading and tv series sharing, I was able to get copies of the series from season 1-6. YAY!

Obviously, I got addicted to it. For weeks, I went to work with lack of sleep because I watched to many episodes. But watching it kept me sane from my irritating and stressful job, so I didn’t mind giving up a few hours of sleep. And when I was finally done with the series, I wanted some more, so I decided to buy the book.

I’m still not finish with the book though. I doubt I’ll be able to finish it soon because of my work schedule. But, so far, I’m not so thrilled with the book compared to the series. One reason is probably because my favorite character in the series is Miranda. But since the book is more of just Carrie, I tend to be not so excited about it.

Anyway, because I got so addicted to it, I’m thinking about buying Carrie Diaries as well (even though there is no Miranda scenarios in there) just to feed my hunger for more Sex and the City stuff.
